HCAI - Department of Health Care Access and Information

The problem: In the face of escalating mental health challenges among nearly half of California's youth, HCAI has been tasked with expanding the health care workforce in California, while ensuring that health service providers have the core competencies necessary for their roles and that they reflect the diverse populations they serve.

The solution: We launched an extensive public awareness campaign aimed at inspiring individuals statewide to pursue certification as Wellness Coaches. Efforts to date have included community outreach, the creation of a strategic communications plan, and the development of impactful branding and assets.

To date, there are now over 300 Certified Wellness Coaches in California who will be working with youth this fall.
